ABOUT
HG NGUYEN
HG Hanh-Giao NGUYEN is a dedicated community leader, small-business owner, and longtime public servant running for San Jose City Council, District 7—for all of us.
HG has spent many years working for the City of San Jose, gaining firsthand experience in how city government operates and how local decisions directly impact neighborhoods, families, and small businesses. This background gives HG a practical understanding of what it takes to turn community needs into tangible results.
In addition to public service, HG is a small-business owner and radio broadcaster who has long been committed to connecting with residents, amplifying community voices, and supporting local entrepreneurs. HG is also a co-founder of the Vietnamese-American Chamber of Commerce, helping advocate for small businesses, economic opportunity, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Growing up and living in a diverse community, HG understands the challenges facing working families—rising costs, public safety concerns, limited youth programs, and the struggle to balance work and family life. HG believes strong leadership starts with listening, bringing people together, and making government more responsive and accessible to everyone.
HG is running to support working families, strengthen small businesses, improve public safety, expand youth and after-school programs, and ensure District 7 has a strong, compassionate, and experienced voice at City Hall.
Above all, HG believes San Jose works best when we work together, across cultures, generations, and neighborhoods, to build a stronger future for all of us.
